ArcelorMittal Temirtau has completed the cycle of its blast furnace modernization.

According to the company statement, its blast furnaces No. 2, 3 and 4 can now produce 14 thousand tons of pig iron per day.

AMT plans to increase steel output to 6 million tons per year.

BF No. 4 modernization allows increasing steel output to 4 million tons a year, up by 15% YoY.

At present AMT has repaired 3 of its 4 blast furnaces. Overhaul at BF No. 2 ended in May 2012. BF No. 3 produced its first pig iron after reconstruction in February 2015. And the BF No. 4 was put into operation in November. (Ukrainian metal)
