OMK will supply 150 thousand tons of pipes for Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline, while Chelyabinsk Pipe Works will supply 80 thousand tons.
“By the end of the contract OMK will have supplied over 700 thousand tons of pipes, with ChTPZ supplying some 600 thousand tons”, Ivan Shabalov, Association of the Pipe Manufacturers coordination committee chairman, said.
Since 2008 the Russian pipes share in international projects has grown. The first and second stages of Nord Stream have been built using 25% of Russian pipes. In 2013 50% of the total volume of pipes was purchased from Russia. (Ukrainian metal)
