The state enterprise Ukrpromvneshexpertisa forecasts that in November the average ferrous scrap price will increase by 14% MoM, or by 700 UAH per ton, to 5700 UAH per ton.
“The price situation is very interesting. The metal makers have been hiding prices from each other. And worked separately with each trader. In fact, the price declared by the works contradicted the reality. At present the works have retained the price on the October level (4200 UAH). Though the actual price is 5500 UAH. In November the average price will grow to 5700 UAH”, UPE marketing department director Yuri Dobrovolsky said.
According to him, the price increase has to do with the world market price growth, UAH devaluation and scrap shortages. (Ukrainian metal)
