Australia will hold parliamentary hearings to discuss uranium deliveries to Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
According to the parliament chairman Stewart Robert, safety measures will be discussed. The authorities want to be sure that their uranium is not used to produce nuclear weapon or in other military ways.
In March Ukraine and Australia signed an agreement to cooperate in the nuclear energy sphere. According to the Ukrainian Ministry of energy and coal industry, this makes provisions for the delivery of uranium to Ukraine to be used in nuclear energy. (Ukrainian metal)
