In January-October Ukrainian by-product coke plants imported 9.8 million tons of ordinary coking coals and coal concentrate, up by 20% YoY, or by 1.6 million tons.
In October Ukraine imported 920 thousand tons of coal, down by 140 thousand tons MoM.
Ukrainian coal deliveries to by-product coke plants reached 5 million tons, on the level of January-October 2015, with 470 thousand tons in October, up by 10 thousand tons MoM. Coking coal stocks dropped by 50 thousand tons in October to 400 thousand tons.
All in all in January-October Ukrainian by-product coke plants received 14.8 million tons of coking coal, up by 12% YoY, or by 1.6 million tons, with 1.4 million tons in October, down by 130 thousand tons MoM. The share of imported coals went up by 4% YoY, to 66%.
In January-October Ukrainian by-product coke plants supplied 9 million tons of coke to metal companies, up by 14% YoY, or by 1.1 million tons, with 870 thousand tons in October, on the September level.
Coke imports dropped by 13% YoY, or by 150 thousand tons, to 985 thousand tons, with 125 thousand tons imported in October, up by 5 thousand tons MoM.
Taking imports into account the total coke deliveries to metal companies reached 10 million tons, up by 10% YoY, or by 935 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
