Belarus and Pakistan are mulling over a joint steel production project, the press service of the Belarusian Industry Ministry reported.

“Minsk hosted an official meeting of the Belarusian Industry Ministry authorities led by Minister Vitaly Vovk with Ahmad Ayaz Sadiq, Vice President at Barclays Bank Plc, Director for FI and NBFI Coverage in the Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan region, and also with Syed Hussein Abbas, Managing Director at GreenCorp Holdings. The foreign colleagues were particularly interested in establishing a joint Belarusian-Pakistani iron and steel plant at one of the Pakistani ports”, the press service said.

Vitaly Vovk stressed that Belarus had a vast experience in this industry. Belarusian Steel Works with its annual output of 3 million tons of metal products exported to 55 countries is a vivid example of this. (BelTA/Ukrainian metal)
