In October the Russian Railways shipped 103.4 million tons of cargo, down by 3.3% YoY. Local shipping dropped by 6.8%, exports went up by 3.7%.
Coal transportation totaled 28 million tons, down by 4.5%, iron and manganese ore – 8.9 million tons, down by 5.4%. At the same time ferrous scrap transportation went up by 6% YoY, to 1.6 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
