Ukrmetallurgprom believes that in November steel output will total 1.9 million tons, with pig iron production at 1.9 million tons and rolled metal at 1.7 million tons.
In September Ukraine produced 1.86 million tons of steel, 1.83 million tons of pig iron and 1.74 million tons of rolled metal. In January-September steel output totaled 18.23 million tons, that of pig iron – 17.79 million tons and of rolled metal – 16.12 million tons.
The low output level in September and August is explained by the problems with raw materials and coke deliveries, as well as some overhauls.
So far the average October daily output is on the September level. (Ukrainian metal)
