The casting shop of Sayanogorsk Aluminum Works (a part of Rusal) has finished modernizing the automated management system of the homogenization line No. 1.
The upgraded system makes the line operation more efficient and reliable.
“The homogenization line improves the structure of extrusion billets with the help of thermal treatment”, said the SAZ executive director Yevgeny Popov.
The specialists needed less than a month to upgrade the system and replace computers with new industrial controllers. Next year such a system at the second line will also be modernized.
The total investments into the modernization amount to 76 million rubles. (Ukrainian metal)
