A new laboratory began operating at the rail-beam mill of Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works (a part of Mechel). It will decrease the time needed to control the quality of rails.
The laboratory is equipped with the oxygen and nitrogen analyzer. Previously ChMK had to control the oxygen weight percentage in highly-aluminous inclusions at other laboratories outside the shop. (Ukrainian metal)
