In January-August Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works produced 1.31 million tons of rolled metal, down by 20.5% YoY.
Steel output dropped by 19.9%, to 1.3 million tons, that of pig iron – by 16.3%, to 1.31 million tons, all YoY.
In August DMK produced 106 thousand tons of rolled metal, 102 thousand tons of steel and 94 thousand tons of pig iron, as opposed to 178, 177 and 180 thousand tons in July respectively.
According to the company repair shop director Vladimir Boiko, August saw a number of repairs and overhauls, which explained the drop in the output. (Ukrainian metal)
