Evraz Yuzhkoks has started producing coke of premium quality with 62.4% strength after reaction (CSR).
According to the company statement, previously this index was on the level of 50-55%.
“This increases the competitiveness advantages of our works and lets us expand sales markets, including foreign ones”, said the company.
Strength after reaction is one of the main qualitative parameters of the blast furnace coke. High CSR prevents coke crushing in the blast furnace, increases its productivity and decrease coke consumption and emissions.
Since April Evraz Yuzhkoks has been working at full capacity. (Ukrainian metal)
