The repairing team of DTEK has restored two of the four electric lines feeding Avdiivka Coke and Chemical Works.

Because of the military activities 2 of the 4 lines were cut on June 8 and 29, and the remaining 2 lines – on July 20. From that day the company worked on its own generators. The complete stop of the works could have resulted in an environmental catastrophe.

Citizens of Avdiivka, a hospital, schools, kindergartens, as well as pump stations were left without electricity too. To begin the repairs, DTEK had to negotiate the ceasefire. (Ukrainian metal)
