Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works has started producing S460MC coils.
“Our rollers can now produce 2.5×1000 mm coils according to EN 10149-2”, said the company CEO Yuri Zinchenko. S460MC steel is characterized by high strength and is produced by way of thermomechanical rolling.
This is the first time that such steel is produced at the works.
“By embracing the new technology and product we have made another step to increase the competitiveness of our company on the world market. We have also increased the range of goods, produced according to European norms. The new grade will help us attract more orders, especially from Europe”, Zinchenko stressed. (Ukrainian metal)
