Dniepropetrovsk region has started implementing a new environment program, aimed at decreasing air pollution and improving water quality.
Industrial companies of the region will invest over 26 billion UAH into modernization in the nearest decade.
This year they have already invested 300 million UAH, with major project underway at Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works, ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih and Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant. The state, regional and city budgets will add 1.5 billion UAH. (Ukrainian metal)
