In January-June Ukraine exported 233.37 thousand tons of scrap worth $40.99 million, down by 68.4% and 77.5% YoY respectively.

According to the customs statistics, provided by the State Fiscal Service, in June scrap exports totaled 26.78 thousand tons, with 112.57 thousand tons in May and 82.47 thousand tons in April, while in Q1 exports were on the level of 11.54 thousand tons. June export drop was caused by the temporal prohibition. Turkey was the main importer of Ukrainian scrap (99.64%).

In H1 Ukraine imported 14.12 thousand tons of scrap worth $3.68 thousand, up 8.8 times and by 83.6% YoY respectively. Scrap was mostly imported from Slovakia (55.99%) and Turkey (40.89%). (Ukrainian metal)
