Ukraine: coal output up in Q1 2016
In January-March Ukraine mined 10 million tons of coal, up by 6.4% YoY. According to the Ministry of energy and coal industry, in March coal output totaled 3.4 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)

In January-March ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih produced 1.34 million tons of rolled metal, up by 1.3% YoY.
Ukraine: steel output up in March 2016
In March Ukrainian metal makers produced 2.2 million tons of steel, up by 30% YoY and 12% MoM. That is the highest result since July 2014 when the escalation of the military activity in Donbass dropped steel output by 28% MoM.

In January-March Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works produced 432 thousand tons of rolled metal, 474 thousand tons of steel and 464 thousand tons of pig iron. In January-March 2015 the works was idle.
