Group DF has invested 74.5 million UAH into the project of a new mining and processing works construction in Zhitomir region. The new company will be called Stremigorodsky GOK and would specialize in mining and processing of ilmenite ore.
2 thousand jobs will be created. The project documents have already passed the state expertise.
The project is being realized by Valki-Ilmenite, a part of Group DF.
During the first stage of construction Stremigorodsky GOK will be able to produce 500 thousand tons of ilmenite concentrate and 150-200 thousand tons of apatite concentrate per year. During the second stage its capacities could increase to 1 million and 0.5 million tons per year respectively.
This works will also allow the titanium business of Group DF to additionally process 4.2 million tons of ore per year. (Ukrainian metal)
