Artemovsk Non-Ferrous Metals Processing Works held a union meeting dedicated to the results of 2015 and prospects for 2016.
At the moment the situation at the works is difficult: it can’t pay salary in time, it has to dismiss employees, a shop has been closed, and the products are crowding the warehouses. But the management is actively seeking ways out of this situation.
“The last three months were really difficult for the works. We intended to get 500 tons worth of orders in February, but received only 474 tons. In March we have 230 tons, or 54% of the plan. We wanted to get 270 tons of secondary raw materials and changed our purchasing schemes. So far we have 60 tons, or 18% of the needs”, said the company chairman Vitaly Malykhin.
Still the works plans to stabilize situation by increasing orders, working on primary raw materials and participating in exhibitions. (Ukrainian metal)
