Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works and Azovstal started producing hot-rolled plate of structural weatherproof steel according to EN 10025-5.
This is the first time this kind of metal is produced in Ukraine. Such rolled metal doesn’t require painting. It is used in the construction of bridges, overpasses, reservoirs, and containers.
The first 190 tons of the new metal have been supplied to Poland. The companies already have some 4 thousand tons worth of orders. (Ukrainian metal)
