Zaporizhstal has started exporting its products via Zaporozhye river port.
According to the company CEO Rostislav Shurma, river transportation increases speed of delivery.
“For example, China delivers metal in 60-90 days in the Black Sea region, and we can do this in just 20 days. The company also decreases expenses on logistics, which increases competitiveness of our metal on European markets”, he added.
Last year Zaporizhstal and the port administration were able to make the Ministry of infrastructure start the navigation period not on a certain date, but depending on the weather conditions. This allowed Zaporizhstal to use river delivery in February this year. (Ukrainian metal)
