In 2015 Ukraine produced 22.93 million tons of carbon steel, down by 16% YoY.
Pig iron output decreased by 12%, to 21.87 million tons, that of rolled metal – by 16%, to 20.01 million tons. Coke manufacture fell by 16%, to 11.61 million tons, that of pipes dropped by 40%, to 850 thousand tons.
At the same time, steel smelting went up after the fall in October-November 2015.
In 2014 Ukraine produced 23.79 million tons of rolled metal, 27.16 million tons of steel and 24.81 million tons of pig iron, all down by 17.7%, 16.9% and 14.8% YoY respectively. (Ukrainian metal)
