The state enterprise Ukrpromvneshexpertiza says in 2016 ferrous scrap procurement will fall by 9.76% YoY, or by 0.4 million tons, to 3.7 million tons.
“In 2015 the volumes of scrap procurement will reach 4.1 million tons, with 3.7 million in 2016. The fall will be caused by the local market price drop”, said the company marketing department director Yuri Dobrovolsky, adding that the ferrous scrap prices would fall by 20% YoY following the rolled metal price drop.
