In January-October Ukrainian coke plants imported 8.2 million tons of ordinary coking coals and coal concentrate for coking, down by 2% YoY.
Russian imports fell by 24% YoY, to 4.3 million tons. In October Ukraine imported 1 million tons of coal.
In January-October domestic coal supplies totaled 5 million tons, down by 39% YoY. In October Ukrainian mines supplied 570 thousand tons of coking coal, down by 30 thousand tons MoM.
All in all in 10 months Ukrainian coke plants received 13.2 million tons of coal, down by 20% YoY. The share of imported coal increased from 51% to 62%.
In January-October coke plants supplied 7.94 million tons of coke to metal companies, down by 17% YoY. Bulk coke deliveries in October increased by 30 thousand tons MoM, to 960 thousand tons.
Imported coke in January-October reached 1.13 million tons, up by 8% YoY. In October it was on the level of 80 thousand tons. Together with imported coke, Ukrainian metal companies received 9.1 million tons of coke, down by 14% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
