In January-September Ukraine exported 1081.34 thousand tons of ferrous metal scrap, up by 54.3% YoY.
According to the State Fiscal Service, scrap exports earned Ukraine $260.2 million, up by 17% YoY.
At the same time in the given period Ukraine imported 1.95 thousand tons of ferrous scrap worth $2.18 million, down by 92.6% and 81.1% YoY respectively.
The major suppliers of ferrous scrap to Ukraine were Turkey (94.15%) and Moldova (3.52%), with them being the largest importers of Ukrainian scrap as well – 79.61% and 19.18% respectively. (Ukrainian metal)
