In January-September coal mining in Ukraine due to the military activities in Donbass fell almost twice YoY, from 53.4 million tons to 29.64 million tons.
According to the Ministry for energy and coal industry, state mines yielded 5.01 million tons of coal, or 16.9% of the total volume.
In September Ukraine mined 3.6 million tons of coal, with state mines providing 527 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
