Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works and Zaporizhstal top-managers have entered the race to become the mayor of Mariupol and Zaporozhye respectively.
In Zaporozhye it’s the works chief engineer Vladimir Buryak, and in Mariupol it’s the HR manager Vadim Boychenko.
Boychenko was nominated by the employees of the Ilyich and Azovstal.
The news came on the heels of the other information – that both works decided to modernize their machinery, making it more environment- and city-friendly. (Ukrainian metal)
