Additional stocks of coal at mines total 400 thousand tons, said the fuel and energy minister Vladimir Demchyshin.
“Some market players, e. g. DTEK, have enough stores of coal”, he said.
He added that the government gave 2 billion UAH to buy coal. 1 billion UAH have already been used, another billion will be used in the near future.
This is enough to buy the necessary amount of coal.
“For 2 billion UAH we could buy a couple of million tons of coal. To meet winter with enough coal, we still need at least 900 thousand tons”, Demchyshin said. (Ukrainian metal)
