Poltava Mining and Processing Works (PGOK) is on top of the CIS manufacturers and exported of iron ore pellets as of January-August with 7658 thousand tons.
The company is followed by the Russian Kostomukshskiy GOK with 7064 thousand tons, Mikhailovsky GOK (6787 thousand tons), Severny GOK (5512 thousand tons, Ukraine) and Kachkanarsky GOK (4386 thousand tons, Russia).
In January-August PGOK exported 7667 thousand tons of iron ore pellets, Severny GOK – 2911 thousand tons, Kostomukshksiy – 2199 thousand tons, and Central GOK – 1520 thousand tons.
PGOK, together with Yeristovo GOK, is a part of Ferrexpo. In 2014 the company produced 11.02 million tons of iron ore pellets, up by 2% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
