The state administration of the railroad transport Ukrzaliznytsia has renewed purchases of rails from Azovstal Iron and Steel Works and wheel pairs from Interpipe.
“We haven’t been buying rails for 10 months. Now we’ve started buying rails from Azovstal, and for the first time in 7 months we’ve purchased wheel pairs from Interpipe”, said Ukrzaliznytsia acting CEO Alexander Zavgorodny.
He added, that those were direct purchases, without middlemen.
It should be noted that Ukrzaliznytsia needs to repair 1847 kilometers of railways. (Ukrainian Metal)
