Within the framework of the complex modernization of the sinter-furnace manufacture, Zaporizhstal has started an overhaul of its blast furnace #3 (BF 3).
The BF 3 net volume totals 1513 cubic meters. The overhaul would cost 45 million UAH. The repairs will be carried out by the company specialists with contractors. All in all around 1 thousand employees will be involved.
“The blast furnace manufacture modernization at Zaporizhstal is just a part of a grand reconstruction, that would renovate production funds and decrease impact on the environment”, said the company CEO Rostislav Shurma.
In 2014 Zaporizhstal put into operation its blast furnace #4 after an overhaul, which cost 600 million UAH. (Ukrainian metal)
