In January-June Ukraine imported $857.56 worth of coal and anthracite.

The largest suppliers of coal to Ukraine were Russia, USA and Australia. Imports from Russia totaled $364.66 million, $231.71 million from USA and $68.95 million from Australia. Other countries supplied $192.22 million worth of coal.

In the first half-year Ukraine exported $31.64 million worth of coal.

It should be noted that Ukraine has been suffering from coal shortages since summer 2014, when it lost control over the part of Donbass with the most mines due to military activities, supported by Russia.

In 2014 Ukraine imported $1.77 billion worth of coal. (Ukrainian metal)
