Metinvest Group states that Yenakievo Iron and Steel Works (Donetsk region) works in the legal field of Ukraine.
“The Group companies work only in the Ukrainian legal field and pay taxes to the Ukrainian budget”, said the company in its statement. Yenakievo Iron and Steel Works, according to the statement, is an integral part of the Group, and the price policy of all Group assets is stipulated by the market situation irrespective of the location.
It should be noted that on June 23 the “head” of the self-proclaimed “Donetsk People’s Republic” Alexander Zakharchenko said, he would make Yenakievo management raise the metal scrap price that the company received from the people and companies on the occupied territories. Also, according to him, Yenakievo Iron and Steel Works was a “state enterprise” of DPR. (Ukrainian Metal)
