In 2014 Ukraine’s largest metal company Metinvest produced 4.79 million tons of coke, down by 22% YoY.

In the fourth quarter of 2014 coke output volumes remained on the level of the third quarter.

A 1315 thousand tons YoY fall in 2014 was caused by the second half-year output decreased due to limitations of raw materials supplies to Avdiika Coke and Chemical Works, Azovstal and Donetsk Coke and Chemical Works, after the railroad was damaged during the military conflict in the East of Ukraine, blowing of the railroad bridge in Mariupol in December 2014, and the full stop of the two works.

Around 70% of the total coke output in the fourth quarter of 2014 was used for the group companies needs. (Ukrainian metal)
