In January Yuzhniy Mining and Processing Works (UGOK) produced 960.5 thousand tons of concentrate, down by 1.7% YoY.
Sinter production decreased by 31.9%, to 141 thousand tons. The company representatives say the fall has been caused by market situation changes.
UGOK is one of the main manufacturers of iron ore raw materials – concentrate and sinter – in Ukraine. In 2014 the works produced 10.95 million tons of concentrate and 2.07 million tons of sinter. (Ukrainian metal)
