In January-March transit of ferrous metals in the Ukrainian railroads network increased by 15%, to 900 thousand tons, YoY.

In the first quarter of 2013 ferrous metals transit decreased by 22% YoY, the 2013 to 2012 results showed a fall by 34%, to 2.27 million tons.

This year increase is stipulated by the 1.9 times rise in transit to land points (over 200 thousand tons), while deliveries to sea ports decreased by 3%, to 620 thousand tons.

Ferrous metals loading in January-March increased with the rise on the level of 3.5%, to 7.6 million tons, with loading for export increasing by 9.6%, to 6.1 million tons, while loading for domestic deliveries fell by 44%, to 1.5 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
