Iraq allowed Metinvest group of companies to supply large diameter pipes.
The Iraqi state South Oil Company has finished the technical audit of Azovstal Iron and Steel Works and Khartsyzsk Pipe Works.
According to the group of companies statement, this was the final qualification step, and now Metinvest is among the suppliers of large diameter pipes of its own strips to Iraq.
Recently only pipes of strips made in Western Europe, Japan and USA could have been supplied to Iraq.
“Now that Azovstal is a supplier of strips to Iraq, Metinvest can participate in state oil- and gas-pipeline construction projects there. The company can also supply strips to other pipe works that plan to deliver to Iraq”, said the representative of the company. (Ukrainian metal)
