In January-November Ukrainian ferroalloy companies decreased output by 18.9%, to 784.3 thousand tons, YoY.



In particular, silicomanganese output decreased by 17.1%, to 568.7 thousand tons, ferromanganese production fell by 51.2%, to 73.3 thousand tons, metallic manganese output decreased by 50.4%, to 7.2 thousand tons, while ferrosilicon output increased by 15.6%, to 135.1 thousand tons.

The Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant decreased its output by 35.4%, to 390.5 thousand tons. In particular, the plant decreased silicomanganese output by 28.5%, to 363.8 thousand tons, and ferromanganese production by 72.2%, to 26.7 thousand tons.

The Zaporozhye Ferro Alloys Plant increased its output by 31.4%, to 258.5 thousand tons. In particular, it increased silicomanganese production by 39.4%, to 178.5 thousand tons, at the same time decreasing ferromanganese output by 13.9%, to 46.6 thousand tons, and that of metallic manganese by 50.4%, to 7.2 thousand tons. Ferrosilicon (45%) production was on the level of 26.2 thousand tons (the plant didn’t produce it in 2012).

The Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant decreased its production volumes by 18.6%, to 135.3 thousand tons. In particular it produced 46.6% silicomanganese less (26.4 thousand tons), and decreased ferrosilicon output by 6.8%, to 108.9 thousand tons.

In 2012 Ukrainian ferroalloy companies decreased their output volumes by 13.8%, to 1.026 million tons, as compared with 2011. (Ukrainian metal)
