Ukrainian steelmaker Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works, a subsidiary of the Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass, has announced that in the current month of July it plans to increase its crude steel production by 4% compared to June to 380,000 metric tons and to increase its production of steel products by 3% MoM to around 350,000 metric tons, including 210,000 metric tons of slabs and around 80,000 metric tons of flat steel products.
In January to June Alchevsk produced 2.2 million metric tons of crude steel, up by 13% compared to the same period of 2012, and 2 million metric tons of steel products, up by 15% YoY. (SteelGuru)
