In the first 4 months of the current year Ukraine registered a 2.5% increase in its finished steel product output to 9.280 million tons, a 0.6% decrease in its crude steel output to 11.058 million tons and a 0.7% rise in its pig iron production to 9.670 million tons all YoY, according to the data issued by Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers.

The country’s production of metallurgical coke in the given period went down by 9.2% YoY to 5.879 million tons.

In the January to April period this year Ukraine produced 22.877 million tons of iron ore concentrate and 7.528 million tons of iron ore pellets, up by 3.3% and 1% respectively compared to the same period last year.

In April Ukraine produced 2.748 million tons of crude steel, down by 4.3%, 2.257 million tons of finished steel products, down by 2%, and 1.447 million tons of metallurgical coke, down by 4.8%, all on MoM basis. (SteelGuru)
