In the first quarter of 2013 Zaporizhstal Iron and Steel Works increased its production of all kinds as compared with the first quarter of 2012. Volumes of iron production in the first quarter of 2013 grew buy 1.7%, steel by 5.8%, rolled stock by 8.5%.
In March 2013, it produced 277.9 thousand tons of iron, 328.7 thousand tons of steel, 278.8 thousand tons of roll stock. Minor reduction of the iron production scale in March 2013, as compared with the results of March 2012 (by 1.8%), is due to the scheduled repair works in the blast furnace shop. (SteelGuru)
