Ukrainian steelmaker Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works, a subsidiary of the Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass, has announced that in March it plans to increase its crude steel production by 23-24% compared to February to 405-410,000 tons and to raise its production of steel products by 24-26% month on month to around 370-375,000 tons.
In January-February Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works produced 729,000 tons of crude steel, up by 16.3% compared to the same period of 2012, and 664,000 tons of steel products, up by 17.7% YoY. (SteelGuru)
