Ukrainian steelmaker Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works, a subsidiary of the Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass, has announced that in January this year its plans to increase its production of steel products by 18% MoM to around 390,000 tons.
In January Alchevsk plans to export about 265-266,000 tons of semi-finished products, up by 22% compared to December 2012, including 205,000 tons of slabs and around 60,000 tons of square billets. (SteelGuru)
