According to the data, issued by Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers, in the first 9 months of the current year Ukraine registered a 3.5% decrease in its finished steel product output to 20.411 million tons, a 5.6% decrease in its crude steel output to 24.592 million tons and a 0.75% decline in its pig iron production to 21.358 million tons all YoY.
The country’s production of metallurgical coke in the given period went down by 1.7% YoY to 14.405 million tons. In the January to September period Ukraine produced 49.640 million tons of iron ore concentrate and 17.106 million tons of iron ore pellets, up by 1.3% and 5% respectively compared to the same period last year.
In September alone Ukraine produced 2.054 million tons of finished steel products, down by 4.2%, 2.582 million tons of crude steel, down by 1.6% and 1.454 million tons of metallurgical coke, down by 7.5% all on MoM basis. (SteelOrbis)
