According to the data, released by the metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company, in January to October of the current year Ukrainian exports of semi-finished steel products decreased by 8.3% YoY to 8.746 million tons.
In the January to October Ukraine exported 4.760 million tons of steel slabs, up by 2.5%, while exports of square billets dropped by 19.9% YoY to 3.903 million tons. Meanwhile, exports of semi-finished steel products from Ukraine increased by 4.3% in October compared to September to 787,000 tons.
On the other hand, in January to October Ukrainian imports of semi-finished steel products increased by 6.8% YoY to 408,000 tons.
In October alone imports of semi-finished steel products to Ukraine decreased by 6.9% compared to September to 43,000 tons. (SteelOrbis)
