Ukrainian steel output

According to preliminary data, in 2010 Ukraine’s finished steel product output was up by 9% YoY to 29.197 million tons. The country also saw a 9.6% rise in its crude steel output to 32.726 million tons.
In 2010 Ukraine saw a 6.5% increase in its pig iron production to 27.354 million tons and a 6.8% growth in its coke output to 18.578 million tons both compared to 2009. Meanwhile in 2010 Ukraine’s production of steel pipes went up by 10.7% YoY to 1.754 million tons, while its output of hardware increased by 19.5% YoY to 269,900 tons.
In its iron ore segment in 2010 Ukraine mined 77.13 million tons of iron ore, up by 17% YoY. Its iron ore concentrate production increased by 16% to about 63.77 million tons, its agglomerate production went up by 13% YoY to 39.556 million tons, while its pellet production rose by 8% YoY to 22.076 million tons.
