It is reported that in the first nine months of the current year the Ukrainian flat steel producer Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works saw its crude steel production rise by 30.3% YoY to about 4.05 million tons as compared to the same period last year.
In addition, in January to September Ilyich finished steel product output went up by 24% YoY to 2.778 million tons, its pig iron production increased by 30.2% YoY to 3.407 million tons, its agglomerate production grew by 38.7% to 7.997 million tons and its steel pipe output increased by 83.7% YoY to 55,600 tons.
In September Ilyich produced 459,000 tons of crude steel, down by 5.6% MoM, 363,000 tons of finished steel products, up by 18.6% MoM, 368,000 tons of pig iron, down by 8.2%, 846,000 tons of agglomerate, down by 7% MoM and 4,500 tons of steel pipes, up by 25%MoM all compared to August. (SteelOrbis)
