According to the data for the first five months of 2010, Ukrainian exports of steel pipes decreased by 17.4% YoY to 449,080 tons while its semi-finished steel product exports dropped by 6.4% YoY to about 4.786 million tons.
In January to May this year, the country exports of flat-rolled steel increased by 23.1% YoY to 2.893 million tons and its exports of long steel went up by 36.8% YoY to 2.548 million tons.
In addition, during the period in question, Ukrainian pig iron exports went up by 4% YoY to 577,300 tons, coke exports – up by 51.7% YoY to 519,550 tons, iron ore exports – up by 62.3% YoY to 13,084 tons and scrap export – up by 68.6% YoY to 331,750 tons. (SteelOrbis)
