It is reported that in January to May 2010 Ukrainian steelmaking companies increased export in comparison with the same period of the previous year by 10.8% to 10.238 million tons.
However, May steel exports dropped in comparison with April by 3.6% to 2.244 million tons.
During five months semi-finished steel products export decreased by 6.4% to 4.787 million tons compared to the same period of the year before and in May to April increased by 1.1% to 1.089 million tons.
Steel sheet and plate export in January to May increased by 23.4% to 2.902 million tons, in May compared to April it dropped by 19% to 626,000 tons. Long steel products export during five months increased by 36.8% to 2.548 million tons, however in it May decreased by 0.2% to April to 529,000 tons. (ugmk.info)
