According to the preliminary data issued by the Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine, in January to May 2010 country’s finished steel product output was up by 18% YoY to 12.384 million tons and crude steel output was up by 21% YoY to 13.881 million tons.
Ukraine January to May production details: pig iron production – up by 19% YoY to 11.847 million tons, coke output – up by 15% YoY to 7.884 million tons, steel pipes production went up by 22% YoY to 715,000 tons, hardware production increased by 39%YoY to 112,000 tons.
Ukraine January to May iron ore segment output:  iron ore – up by 46% YoY to 31.814 million tones, iron ore concentrate – up by 37% YoY to 26.378 million tones, agglomerate production – up by 24% to 17.056 million tons, pellet production – up by 25% YoY to 9.322 million tons. (SteelOrbis)
